Hearty Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients: | 1 - 1.5 lbs. Beef Tenderloin 1 or 2 Medium Onions 8 - 10 Medium sized Mushrooms 1/4 Cup Beef Stock - 5 Tbsp. Butter Salt & Pepper 1 Cup Sour Cream 2 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard Nutmeg (to taste) |
Instructions: | Cut Beef into
Strips about 2 1/2" long and 1/2" thick
Slice Onions and Mushrooms finely. Melt Butter in a large Dutch oven. Cook onions until translucent without colouring. Add Mushrooms and Beef and Sautée until meat is browned. Add Beef Stock, Sour Cream and Mustard to pot. Cook until Meat is Tender, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. Serve over a Bed of Noodles. (Preparation time 20 min., cook time 45 min to 1 Hr.) (serves 4-6) |
