Beer-Battered Fish & Chips
Ingredients: Fish: | 4, 4-5 oz. Thin Fillets of Halibut of Similar White Fish (Haddock, Sole, Cod) |
Ingredients: Batter: | 1 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour 1/2 Cup Corn Flower 1/2 Bottle (6 oz.) Dark Beer 2 Eggs Salt & Pepper to Taste |
Ingredients: Chips: | 4 Large Idaho Baking Potatoes, Skin On, Cut into French Fries |

Get the Fish Market to Cut your Fish into Thin Fillets. Using a DeepFryer at 130 degrees C, Cook Fries until almost tender. Remove, Drain and set aside. Heat Oil to 170 degrees C. Salt & Pepper Fish and Lightly dust with some flour and dip into batter, then carefully add to the hot oil. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, turning half way, to cook both sides. Batter coating should be crispy and golden brown. Remove from Oil and keep warm. Return Fries to the deep fryer and cook until golden brown. Plate, garnish with Fresh Lemon and Tartar Sauce and serve (serves 4) |
